Dude Looks Like a Lady

Sarah:

Christe is still here, Lauren left today and I have not touched my desk or my work all weekend. It's been so good for me. We are preparing to watch a movie and spend one last night talking until unreasonable hours. We have walked miles, cooked good meals and had the deep, spiritual, open conversations that I love having with these girls. My dearest friends are just as close to me as they were when they lived downstairs. God has been so good to me, especially with the people he has placed in my life.

Pray for the baby in the ICU at Children's. She's having surgery tonight and Kelly says she might not make it through.

FIREWORKS

I (Sarah) am thisexcited because of the fireworks lineup this weekend. Metropolis last night, Danville tonight!!, Easton tomorrow and Dayton on Tuesday. AND at Fairhope (Suzanne's lake house) next Saturday.

I just about can't hold it in. I have a passion for fireworks.

And I miss Kelly.

crazy times

if you live in the Big Nasty, you will inevitably..

  1. fall out of bed at some point during the night.
  2. make a mess.
  3. promise to clean the mess up.
  4. clean the mess up three days later.
  5. come across nasty food the Beast left in the fridge.
  6. find wet paper towels under the sink.
  7. watch "So You Think You Can Dance?" and "The Hills" on Wednesday nights.
  8. change the thermostat during the night.
  9. hear cars honking at 2:00 a.m.
  10. see Jon, Bryan and/or Matt at some point during the week.
  11. eat some item of food with Jon, Bryan and/or Matt during the week.
  12. say "I miss my boyfriend" at least once a day.
  13. laugh too loud.
  14. find "The Greene County Shopper" in your yard, no matter how many times you throw it back out.
  15. have the urge to use the water pump once or twice a week.
  16. race to answer the phone before the answering machine goes off in case it's someone important.
  17. slide on hardwood floors in your socks.
  18. leave your shoes at the front door.
  19. get irritated when the church across the street takes all the good parking places.
  20. have an insanely wonderful, glamorous existence.

It's true. Ask anyone who hangs out there.

It's Summertime..

We are living it up, Cedar style. There is lots of TV watching in Fairborn and at Faith's. Hell's Kitchen started last night, so I (Sarah) plan on going over to Faith's to see it tomorrow night. I am also planning on bringing food because, really, can you watch a TV show about cooking and eating? My belief is no.

Today is Jordan's birthday! Happy birthday, Jordo. You are an excellent boyfriend to Kelly. And friend to Sarah. And you are always good when we hear gunshots outside.

The best part(s) of today were the all-staff lunch at Red Robin, e-mails from Suzanne, Crystal Tuxhorn and Sarah Johnson, and the relocation of my wallet at Linens n Things in Avon. The most important lesson I learned on my 22nd birthday was this: do not leave your little black wallet in Linens n Things. It will take them 2 days to find it, and in the meantime, you will have to cancel both of your credit cards, the office credit card, get a new FAC/STAFF ID, and figure out to get on an airplane without a license because you have an event in Philadelphia on Friday.

Luckily, a five year old boy and a six year old girl found my wallet, even though the staff at Avon's Linens n Things apparently couldn't. Those kids are getting Maggie Moo's gift certificates. That's what.

Open invitation: come eat/grill at our house! Thanks to Rendy Lane Sowder, our kitchen is now fully stocked. And thanks to Kelly and Jordo, we have couches and loveseats. Now we just need people to come back and eat with us.

I'm totally off to weed the most amazing garden on Cedar Street.
